The steel particles created by normal engine wear cause the most damage. FilterMAG holds metal particles by force against the inner wall of the oil filter before they can cause damage. This results in a flow of cleaner oil. The heart of FilterMAG's powefull magnetic filtration system starts with unique precision ground arced Neodymium magnets aligned in series. This generates the greates amount of magnetic force enabling FilterMAG to trap and hold ferrous particles. Smaller particles need more force to hold them out of the oil flow, this is why FilterMAG have developed the patented technology needed to hold microscopic particles as small as 2-micron. The multi-layered flux bands are composed of low carbon corrosion resistant galvaneal steel. The individual layers allow for flexing of the band to ensure the magents have direct contact with the filter. This precise and effective design eliminates power loss inside. The magnet segments are places directly on the flux bands to short circuit the outward magnetism and drastically increase the magnetic energy. The flux bands act like an amplifier to focus this magnetic energy inside the oil-filter - exactly where you really need it ! Each ultra-powerfull magnet in series is precision radiused and arced to a tolerance of +/- 0.025mm. Each radius works similarly to a magifying glass and concentrates even greater power at the edges of the magnets where they meet. After machining, the magnet segments go through pretreatment and a four stage plating process to provide protection from chemicals and the environment. Magnets are aligned in series North and South like batteries in a portable radio to create the greatest amount of magnetic force. The greatest holding power occurs when a peice of metal comes in contact with both the North and South poles - that's why FilterMAG precision grinds and aligns the magnetic system in series. Proprietary nylon composite casing provides insulation ranging from -45C to +150C while allowing the unit to flex and conform to your oil filter's exact diameter. The result is a perfect fit and superb functionality. Sizes FilterMAG sizes are determined by the filter diameter class in which they are used, Filters with a larger diameter are designed to handle more oil flow and a faster oil flow requires more magnetic energy to hold the particles. This presented an enormous technical challenge, but the results were spectacular. FilterMAG engineers developed a unique and powefull magnetic pull force of up to 500Kg. |
